The International Dateline Hotel is the foremost Hotel in the Kingdom of Tonga, and stands as the flag-ship of Tonga's Tourism Industry.

The Hotel is located on Nuku`alofa's waterfront, 5 minutes walking distance to downtown. There are a total of 125 guest rooms in the Hotel from the majestic Royal Suite, to Executive Suites, Deluxe Suites and Superior & Standard Rooms. These are complimented by two fine dining Restaurants, Bars, Conference Hall, Meetings Rooms and Commercial Outlets, with swimming pools in landscaped gardens.

The International Dateline Hotel was established with 24 rooms in the front building in 1966, in time for the coronation of King Taufa`ahau Tupou IV in July 1967. In 1977, 27 rooms were extended to the Eastern-wing Building, and there was a general upgrading in 1988/1989. Further improvements were made in 1994/1995. At that time, there were a total of 76 rooms in the Hotel.

In the latest development, a new Western-wing Building was completed in July 2003, and 76 old rooms in the Front and Eastern Building have almost been completely refurbished, and will be available to the public in May, 2007.
